A Lump of Coal?
Christmas is a special time of year, especially for children. Waiting for Santa and his wondrous sack of presents is a treasured memory for many of us. But what if a lump of coal is more than some children can expect? There is hope . . .
Each year ARCR (Association of Residents of Costa Rica) sponsors a TREE OF HOPE in their offices. It’s purpose is to accept donations to provide gifts to needy children who would otherwise receive nothing.
This year the TREE OF HOPE was erected on November 14th and the staff is now accepting cash donations and wrapped presents. Money contributions need to be attached to the tree and the ARCR staff will use it to purchase gifts. Packages should be wrapped with a note attached indicating age and gender of the intended recipient.
Will you help? Your small, anonymous donation will light up a little face with the smile which only a package from Santa can bring.
Don’t let the Grinch win! Please make a child’s Christmas a little brighter by bringing YOUR gifts and donations to the ARCR office no later than December 15th. All the packages will be will be distributed equally between the Marine Corp. Toys for Tots and the Children's Hospital located in San Jose on December 19th.
If you need directions to the ARCR offices, call (506) 2233-8068 or (506) 2221-2053.
